Happy New Year! 2010 is going to be a GR8 Year!

I can't believe that it is already the New Year! I have been neglecting writing on the blog but I do have to let you know that I have not been neglecting my walks. I haven't been doing them all but have been working out at least twice a week and going out for about an hour or so. Walking with a friend is the key to my success, although when I have to walk by myself it doesn't get done!


This morning I made a mental decision to start a workout video program. This video is from BeachBody and it is called ChaLEAN Extreme. I chose this program so that I will be able to work out at any time and not have to go out in the dark to walk/run when I don't have a partner. This program has you work out with weights/bands to build muscle, "because muscle burns fat".

I've started this program before last year and did it on and off for about a month but only saw minor results. Looking back I was thinking 'what if I did this as prescribed?' Hind sight is always 20/20 but this year I'm determined to see what happens in the next 30, 60, 90 days.

Chalene Johnson is the creator of this program and she was at the Beach Body Coaches Summit 2009 last March. She is a very inspiring speaker. See the photo of her and me. I hope to go this year to the Summit in April 2010 and take a follow up picture!
